It’s always much easier to source fabrics and trims when you can see and feel the actual materials on the spot. You can discuss with suppliers your needs and get recommendations and indications on what is new and innovative in each material segment. You will meet people from the industry and this is also vital for growing your network. It is much easier to do business with people you have already met before.
When it comes to exhibiting your brand at trade shows, it’s a good idea to have been at that trade show to see if it would be a good platform for your brand. Will the trade show attract the right type of buyers for your brand? You can also visit shows to get inspiration and check out your competitors, what is hot, what is not, and how unique is your brand compared to the ones on the market? It’s also a good indication of the trends and where the industry is heading.
